Make, create, and see

Te Matapihi ki te Ao Nui is a place to share our stories and explore imagination. Here, you can make things, test ideas, tell stories, and experience creativity in many forms.

Across the building you’ll find spaces to get hands‑on, learn new skills, record and share your creative voice, and encounter exhibitions. Some spaces are for quiet focus, others for collaboration and play. All are here to support curiosity, expression, and connection.

Using a mix of digital and physical tools, visitors can explore making at their own pace or take part in facilitated sessions and workshops. Makerspaces are used by people of all ages — from first‑time makers to experienced creators — and support creative, technical, and practical projects.
